Always looking for improvements, in 2012, Rometal acquired the ISO 9001 Certification, as a result of the quality of its management system. In 2016, the investment was even greater. Rometal expanded its industrial park to a new area with 22,000m², which increased its production capacity, ensuring even more agility and effectiveness in the delivery of its products. The new industrial park also has different spaces – a showroom, an experimental joinery and a training area –, bringing Rometal even closer to its customers.

Innovation, technology and, above all, human capital are Rometal's greatest assets. And, as in any family, the protection of this heritage is a requirement. Intellectual development, involving Rometal's Trademarks and Patents, are duly protected by the National Institute of Intellectual Property – INPI. Rometal currently has more than 70 processes in progress, aiming to guarantee Rometal the pioneering spirit conquered over all these years.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE ABOUT THE GRANTING PATENTS:

  • The granting of Invention and Utility Model Patents is governed by the Industrial Property Law, Law No. 9,279/96, and guarantees the holder the temporary right of exclusive use within Brazil.
  • The Law guarantees the holder the right to take the appropriate legal measures in order to defend their right of exclusive use against unauthorized exploitation of the patented object, with the right to obtain compensation in relation to exploitation occurring between the date of patent filing and granting.
  • Unauthorized exploitation of a patented product, even if partial or using equivalent means, is considered a Crime under the Industrial Property Law.
  • The holder of the rights is allowed to License the Exploitation of patented objects, by charging Royalties, which can accelerate the return on investment for product development.
